RICCARDO STUDER
Riccardo Studer is a sound designer and generally an audio addict since his childhood, when he used to tweak and destroy radios and tape decks assembling raw podcasts on crappy
cassettes thirty years ago.
He entered the professional sound career the rude way, as a tea boy for a post production company in Lugano, Switzerland.
Eventually he became the co-owner of this same facility producing soundtracks for television, radio and movies.
Every form of sound pressure interests him, from the more technical and clinical side like his former job in the Swiss National Archives, researching restauration and denoising techniques,
to more bizarre collaborations with artists, programming and assembling sound scores for performances - dance, theatre - and installations.
This recent times he went on his own focusing particularly on sound for cinema, sound design and consulting about audio for picture. His friendship with Marco - the Drama man - allowed
him to experiment his musical skills, making and producing some dancing and cerebral tunes with his label invisiblerecordings.
Good old days, he remembers, trying to enter the furious and crowded music business...nowadays this brand has been converted to just sound for pictures, Studer's main job and reason
to live.
